Overwhelmed about upcoming university exams?
As promised here is meself pretending like its Decemeber 2020 and there is nobody more fired up for fourth year exams than me. 🥲
It’s so very easy to get caught up in downward spiral of self doubt and past failures, even though I try to be as optimistic as I can..I am not immune to it. So, I lost few days to overthinking and worrying but not anymore.
I believe a lot of us are in the same position, we want to do our best, we want to study for many many hrs a day, we want to get done with our daily targets but there is some invisible force stopping us, making us give half hearted attempts at everything we try to do.
As for the identity of this invisible force, I believe its fear and self doubt and a feeling of being alone in our struggle, all these cloaked and disguised so that we cant figure out how to fight it.
But I have figured it out, like I mentioned before I have a superawsome brain, (it might not fetch me a cool rank in exam but it does other really wonderful things). 😂😂
So, here is my plan to fight off these invisible forces and make room for the possibility of a bright future –
.
🧠 Forget about strategies, just read, anything, all the time, if boring subjects are giving you a hard time, switch immediately, there is no time to waste.
🧠 7 hrs a day is a must!
🧠 I will focus on strengthening the 80% syllabus that will get me 70% scores
🧠 Watching 2 to 3 video lectures on a daily basis especially live classes or interactive classes, especially of your fav teachers or subjects will give you enough boost!
🧠 Encourage and support each other, that’s the best way to not succumb to despair.
YOSH!
Case Study – 22/07/21

The above picture is a radiograph of a patient who attends your surgery with a toothache. She complained of dull aching pain on the upper right, with some tenderness in the upper buccal sulcus. The pain is unaffected by thermal stimuli. Describe your assessment and likely diagnosis.
Clinical features
Obtain a complete history first. How long has the pain been present? Have there been previous episodes or is this the first? Carry out a complete examination. Test each tooth for sensitivity with a cotton wool pledget soaked in ethyl chloride. Use gentle finger pressure on each tooth, followed up by percussion if there is no abnormal response. Record the responses and note if you manage to reproduce the pain the patient is complaining of.
Radiology
The radiograph shows a large restoration in the molar and a post crown on the first premolar. In the premolar, the root filling looks insubstantial and there is a periapical granuloma present. At the level of the end of the post, there is radio-opaque material overlying the tooth and bone. Also at this level and further coronally, lamina dura is lost along the root surface.
Likely diagnosis
The lack of any aggravation of the pain by thermal stimuli suggests that this is not pulpitis. The dull aching pain, along with the tenderness in the buccal sulcus, suggests chronic periapical periodontitis is a likelier diagnosis. On radiological grounds, there is only one likely tooth with problems: the first premolar. The apical granuloma suggests chronic inflammation, but you should bear in mind that the radiograph is a snapshot in time and that the lesion could be healing (although the poor root filling suggests otherwise). The interesting finding is the collection of signs around the end of the post. The radio-opaque material overlying the root here is probably extruded cement from when the post was cemented. This at least suggests a perforation and may indicate a fracture of the root at this level. Clinical examination might reveal mobility of the crown if a fracture were present

Ortho Case 3.3
A 14-year-old male presented with a class I malocclusion on a skeletal class I base with average vertical dimensions complicated by an ectopic and mesially-angulated UR3, crowding of both arches and centre line discrepancies.
What will be the treatment for creating space for canine and correcting central line discrepancies? Which teeth will be extracted? What appliances will be used and what force level should be used during space closure?
To understand this and more, read the pdf attached to the link. I have also tried to explain the case via digital images. I have attached 5 images. Do check it out 🙂
